Cheese is undoubtedly one of the most important products of Arbus and in Sardinia, too. Its taste is unique thanks to the extraordinary nature of pastures, the climate and , in general, the quality of the territory.
Pecorino cheese is probably one of the most known among the cheese made in Sardinia: weathered for a long time in particular temperature and humidity conditions, it has a strong taste and a long history that dates back to the prehistoric age.
Arbus offers a huge variety of other high quality products like goat cheese, the characteristic acid cheese “casu axedu”, fresh cheese like “casu friscu” and ricotta used to prepare typical dishes and cakes.
