Portu Maga is a little touristic village  in a central position of Costa Verde. In front of the village the charming beach with its shallow water, the sandy sea floor and the rocks awash offer a various and particular landscape.

The golden colour of the sand, the colour of rocks and of the Mediteranean scrub, the blue sea mix together creating a particular chromatic effect which has given the name Costa Verde to all the coast.

It is the ideal place for water sports lovers who want to do a long swim, diving, underwater fishing and, when the wind blows, windsurfing.  Just a curiosity: after the breaking sea it is possible to find the well known “Saint Lucy’s eye” particular iridescent shell. Among the facilities there are different types of accommodation, shops and chemist’s, a big car parks, a bar, a restaurant, a pizzeria  and it is possible to rent beach umbrellas and deck chairs.

The different accesses to the beach are in the middle of the uncontaminated nature. Portu Maga is reachable from Guspini and from Arbus crossing Montevecchio (Arbus) then following the direction   Gutturu Flumini – Funtanazza. At about 1km from Funtanazza, at the crossroad for Gutturu de Flumini, turn left  and go straight on for about 2km crossing Gutturu and, after few kilometers you get to Portu Maga  beach, on the right. It is also possible to get there driving along the coastal road from Piscinas following the northern direction “Marina di Arbus”
